Casa De Campo

The first designed golf course on Casa de Campo was completed in
1971 by Pete Dye and 300 local laborers. It is titled "Teeth
of Dog" because of the sharp points of coral formations that
are seen along the shoreline. It is ranked 29th in the world and
more importantly #1 in the Caribbean. The course has quite an exciting
experience offering holes 1-4 on the lush green, followed by the
next set of holes 5-8 very close to the ocean. Holes 9-14 take you
back inland. The breath taking site of the ocean occurs once again
for holes 15-17, with the 18th hole placed on an uphill slope.

A mix of tricky shots, beautiful trees, and elevated greens, creates
6,989 yards of amazingly designed golf course. Amenities near the
course include a proshop, club house, resturant and bar, and of
course a chance for specialized lessons.

In September 2005, Golf Magazine ranked Casa de Campo’s
Teeth of the Dog, #41 in its “Top 100 Courses of the World.” It is the
only course in the Caribbean to appear on this prestigious list.
Conde Nast magazine awarded Casa de Campo the prestigious 2004 Gold Key
Award and ranked it in the
Top 100 World's Best Places to Stay. It is no wonder recent American Presidents
including Jimmy Carter,
George Bush Sr and Bill Clinton have enjoyed its golf and accommodations.
Luxury at its finest!!
